Hi! My name is Karen and Acorn Pots is run entirely by me! I am a ceramic artist living in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada.

I began my ceramics journey in 2020 but I have always been interested in sculpting, painting and creating with my hands. What I love most about ceramics is that I can create almost anything I want! I am inspired greatly by nature and bright colours palettes. My functional wares are greatly inspired by patterns in quilting/fabrics.

In 2023, I had the idea of making a frog perpetual calendar, that could wear different hats. The design has evolved a lot in the past couple years but I am still making it (among many other animals) today!
